Historic Cup Run Ends in First-Ever Trophy Triumph

Our cup campaign will go down as one of the most memorable journeys in the club’s history, culminating in a deserved first-ever cup triumph and further proof of our dominance throughout the season.

The road to the final began in emphatic fashion in the quarter-finals, where we produced a ruthless display to defeat London Hibernians Second XI 5–0. It was a complete performance, with our attacking quality and defensive organisation leaving our opponents with no way back.

The semi-final presented a much sterner test against an Imperial College side that had held us to a 2–2 draw in the league just a few weeks earlier. The match was finely balanced, but our strength in depth proved decisive. Iffy and Marley made a huge impact from the bench, combining to score three crucial second-half goals that secured our place in the final and demonstrated the quality throughout the squad.

Waiting for us in the final were familiar rivals Parkside FC. Having already beaten them in the league to the title, we knew they would arrive determined to gain revenge. For us, another victory would not only secure silverware but also reinforce our superiority and dominance over our closest challengers.

The final could hardly have begun in more dramatic fashion. David fired us into the lead within the opening 10 seconds, giving the team the perfect start and immediately putting Parkside on the back foot. Ryan then produced what many would call the goal of the season, a stunning strike towards the end of the first half that doubled our advantage and gave us a firm grip on the match.

From there, the team showed the defensive resilience and composure that had become hallmarks of our season. Despite Parkside’s efforts to fight their way back into the game, we stood strong and saw out the victory to lift the trophy.

The final whistle sparked scenes of celebration as the club secured its first-ever cup title. From the dominant quarter-final display, through a hard-fought semi-final, to a commanding victory over our biggest rivals in the final, it was a cup run that perfectly reflected the quality, character, and determination of this exceptional team. Cup Winners. History Makers.
