Baset first represented the club at just 17 years of age and immediately impressed as a ‘modern day centre-back’. Strong defensively and comfortable progressing the ball through the lines, he quickly established himself as one of the squad’s brightest prospects. After leaving for a few years to complete his university degree, he returned last season determined to reclaim his place and once again demonstrated his quality.
