Active Sports FC Founder and Director discusses five promotions, knife crime, youth opportunities and All In The Game during a live national interview.
Active Sports FC Founder and Director Joshua Khan appeared live on Talk Sports Football Weekender, joining Sean Dyche and Jonny Owen for a special interview that brought the club’s remarkable journey – and its wider social mission – to a national audience.
During the interview, Joshua reflected on Active Sports FC’s incredible achievement of five promotions in six seasons, with Sean and Jonny recognising the scale of what the club has accomplished in such a short period of time.
However, the conversation quickly moved beyond football.
Joshua spoke about why Active Sports FC was founded: to create opportunities for young people who may otherwise never receive them. He discussed the reality of knife crime affecting communities across South London and explained how the club uses football to provide positive role models, structure, belonging and hope for young people who need it most.
The discussion highlighted that success cannot simply be measured by promotions and trophies. Behind every league title are young people whose lives have been positively influenced through mentoring, education, employment opportunities and a community that believes in them.
Joshua also introduced All In The Game, the feature documentary following Active Sports FC’s extraordinary rise. The film explores the realities facing many young people today, including knife crime, mental health and the importance of community, while showing how football can become a powerful force for change.
Appearing live on one of the UK’s leading football programmes represents another major milestone for Active Sports FC. Sharing the club’s story on a national platform helps raise awareness not only of its achievements on the pitch, but also of the work taking place every day to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing young people.
As Active Sports FC continues to grow, its ambition remains the same: to create opportunities, change lives and demonstrate that football has the power to transform communities.
