Our league campaign was a story of resilience, determination and, in the end, real quality.
We started in sensational form, winning the bulk of our opening fixtures on the back of a rock-solid defence — just two goals conceded in our first eight matches.
It wasn’t all smooth. A big setback came when key defender Shamal fractured his ankle, unsettling the stability that had underpinned our start. The disruption ran into a tough spell over Christmas and our first defeat of the season, against Parkside FC — the side shaping up to be our main rivals for the title.
What came after the turn of the year showed the character of this squad. We responded emphatically, going the entire second half of the season unbeaten. We took revenge on Parkside, and put together a run of performances that did the talking for us.
By the end, there was no argument about who deserved the title. We finished six points clear at the top, with a +31 goal difference over second place — the numbers tell the story.
From a flying start, through adversity, to an unbeaten finish: a season that will be remembered as one of the club’s finest. A title built on togetherness, hard work, and the people who turn up week after week.
